Zone Championships are at Barton Park on December 8th/9th for all our U7-17s.
All the info you need is HERE. Entries forms are due Week 7, Saturday 3rd November. Please print and complete the form and put it in the in-tray in the office on either of the next couple of Saturdays. The club pays an entry fee for everyone to attend, so, this year we'd really like everyone to attend. The standard of competition is pretty similar to what we have week to week, so you don't need to be a superstar. Get in, have a go, and it's a great experience to be representing your club. Any questions, please feel free to email info@nrclac.org.au and I can pass them on to NRCLAC Team Managers, Annika and Carwyn. Kind regards, Fergus President NRCLAC

From the commencement of the 2018/2019 competition season, Little Athletics across Australia
is changing the date on which it determines its age groups, to 31 December. This has direct implications for some of our athletes and parents. More info HERE. The State Track & Field Championships have been run and won. NRCLAC was well represented by a strong team of 28 athletes in 50 events and a relay. It was great to see NRCLAC offering plenty of smiling faces, a good number of medals, and so many PBs. I feel like I spent the weekend, saying "you can't do any better than that!". Congratulations everyone! Special mention to the Junior Boys' Relay team picking up bronze in the last event of the weekend. A fantastic achievement! Fantastic to see a strong NRCLAC cheer squad of families staying and supporting team mates, after their own events were completed. It's this friendship and support that makes us a great club. Thank you to NRCLAC's Official, Kieron, working as a starter. Legend! Thank you to the parent helpers who stepped up to do our allocated duties: Cathy, Claire, Annika, Carwyn, Ben, David, Mat, Isaac, Ravi, and Fiona. You're the best! Thank you to Team Managers, Annika and Carwyn. Another hot and sweaty weekend in the bag : ) Everyone have an enjoyable and safe Easter break, and look forward to seeing you at Presentation Day, Sunday April 8th. Cheers - Ferg | NRCLAC President Congratulations to NRCLAC's record breakers in Season 2017/18...
WEEK 1:
NRCLAC had a successful 2018 Region 5 Championships at SOPAC on Saturday and Sunday.
NRCLAC were well represented at Region by 101 athletes - a record for the club, competing in 248 events. We had some great results over the two days. Thank you for giving it your best and doing it with a smile. Our medal tally finished at 11 Gold, 15 Silver, and 15 Bronze. Congratulations to our Junior Girls' Relay team (Carys, Chloe, Hayley, and Jasmine) winning the bronze, and our Junior Boys' Relay (Ben, Finn, Lachie, and Jacob) winning gold, which are our best results for a number of years. Thank you to Annika and Mick for coaching them. Congratulations to Club Captain, Samantha Dale for breaking the Region record in U17 Long Jump. Only 4cm off the State Record. Fantastic work. Well done. Thank you to the parents who did their helper duties. Thank you to the NRCLAC Officials who helped run the carnival. It couldn't happen without your contributions: Jenny, Ben, Adam, Greg, Nigel, Sankaran, Pia, John, and Chelsea. The carnival can only go ahead because of these good people. Thank you to VP Ben for delivering the bananas, water, tables, and tents. And most of all, thank you to NRCLAC Team Managers, Annika and Carwyn. There's so much work that goes into organising parent duties, checking uniforms, marshalling during the day, being the first to arrive and the last to leave. Thank you. Legends ; ) |
