All athletes, regardless of ability, are encouraged to compete, improve personal performance, keep fit, and have fun.

HISTORY
Little Athletics was started in Geelong, Victoria, in 1964, by Mr Trevor Billingham, who recognised the need for a track and field athletics competition for children who were too young to compete in senior athletics. Little Athletics expanded throughout Australia, with competition commencing in NSW in 1970 with 1,500 athletes. Little Athletics now has over 41,000 registered athletes, from 202 clubs.
NSW clubs are distributed throughout 24 Zones in 5 Regions. NRCLAC is part of the Northern Metropolitan Zone, which also includes Cherrybrook, Northern Suburbs, Parramatta, and Ryde. Our Zone pairs with the North East Metropolitan Zone to make up Region 5, under the Little Athletics Association of New South Wales.
North Rocks Carlingford Little Athletics Centre was established in 1981, with the first day of competition held on Saturday 3rd October with approximately 300 athletes. NRCLAC is one of the bigger clubs in NSW, but remains small enough to be a club that encourages all the family to be involved.
