PARENT INVOLVEMENT?
Unlike some other sports, parent participation is essential for Little Athletics. The more you can be involved, the more enjoyable it will be for your family.

Please read more information about what is expected HERE.
GROUND SET-UP?
One of the biggest jobs each week is setting up all our equipment before competition. We have a roster (HERE) for parents to assist with setting up the oval. Parents who are rostered are required to meet at the clubhouse at 7.25am.
CANTEEN ROSTER?
Each week a nominated age group is responsible for supplying parents to help in the canteen. The roster is HERE. Your group's Age Manager will ask you to volunteer when necessary.
WET WEATHER?
We do proceed in light rain.

If it is raining heavily and the competition is cancelled we will post notification on our website and Facebook page by 7.30am.

If City of Parramatta closes the ground due to saturation, there is a council website listing Kingsdene Oval HERE.
COMMUNICATION?
NRCLAC email a weekly Newsletter to communicate important information to the email address you supplied when registering. If you aren't receiving it please subscribe on the CONTACT page, or email your subscription request to [email protected]. It is also worth checking the website and Facebook page regularly to keep up with important information.
ABILITY?
Our emphasis is on fun and fitness. Children can join with any level of ability. Children are given plenty of encouragement to improve.
TRAINING?
Athletes are offered minimal coaching on Saturdays. The emphasis on Saturdays is getting through the competition events, like a school carnival.

We have optional training nights on Wednesday and Thursday each week during the season (weather pending), where coaches are available to help with specific event skills.

Details of the week's training sessions are on the Homepage.
what happens AT SATURDAY COMPETITION?
  • Rostered parents meet for ground set-up at 7.15am
  • Optional Walks and 3km events at 7.15am or 7.35am

PLEASE REMEMBER...
The Committee, every Official, Age Manager, and Coach are parent volunteers just like you.
TRIALISTS?
LANSW advertise the option of attending the first two weeks of the season as a "trialist" before committing to register. NRCLAC does not encourage trialling in the U7 - U11 age groups, as they normally fill up and trialling does not reserve your place in the group. We charge a non-refundable $20 per trialist. Contact [email protected] for more information.
VISITING ATHLETES?
Athletes from other Little Athletics Centres are welcome to attend our weekly competition. If you would like to attend please notify [email protected] with your details.
WHO DO WE NOTIFY IF WE CAN'T ATTEND A COMPETITION WEEK?
There's no need to tell anyone. (Please note there is minimum attendance requirements to be awarded Age Champion.)
MULTI-CLASS ATHLETES GROUP?
NRCLAC is proud to offer dedicated multi-class athlete group for athletes with special needs. This includes athletes on the autism spectrum, Down's Syndrome, as well as vision impairments, and motor function limitations. More info HERE.
