CLUB COMPETITION
NRCLAC aspires to offer a high standard of officiating at our weekly competition so we can have confidence in the reliability and validity of our event results. As such, we would like to have qualified officials in charge at every competition event.
From season 2021/2022, we are aiming to qualify all our Age Managers and Committee as AAOES Level 1 Officials.
If you think you can help NRCLAC by being a dedicated Official at our Club competition, we need your help.
Your contribution will enormously benefit NRCLAC athletes.

ZONE & REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
NRCLAC competes in the Northern Metropolitan Zone Championships and Region 5 Championships, which are highly competitive, and require quality officiating at all events so that competitors and spectators know the results are trustworthy and fair.
80 Officials are required to run the carnivals. NRCLAC are obligated to contribute 14 of these. NRCLAC has historically lived up to this, but we need to be continually renewing our ranks to guarantee a professional and fair carnival for the benefit of all athletes.
As such, NRCLAC is seeking new volunteers who are prepared to officiate at Zone and Regional Championships. Officiating at Zone or Region is a half-day commitment (you can do more than the half-day if you like). It includes free morning or afternoon tea (and lunch if you do a full day).
Your contribution will enormously benefit NRCLAC as well as the athletes across the Region.
The qualification process is 30-minutes of online education, followed by a short multiple-choice test that you can repeat until successful. Upon completion of the test, a minimum of 2 mentored practical sessions need to be completed to be signed off as an official in your chosen discipline. This can be achieved in a morning and afternoon session at Zone or Region. A mentoring official will provide feedback throughout your practical so you are confident and fully qualified to chief at your chosen event.

Within each course, there are four (4) modules, each with their own content and quiz attached:
Candidates can attempt as many of the courses as they like. Once they have completed all four modules and the competency quiz, they have finished the course and will be able to download the Certificate of Completion.
Each course should take around 30 minutes depending on your prior knowledge of the event and/or athletics. All questions in the quiz are multiple choice. Please note if you get a quiz question wrong you will be provided with a hint for the correct answer. You do not have to complete the course at the one sitting, you can logout and then log back in later picking up where you left off.
