Following the Little Athletics Australia Annual Conference in October, the following are the changes from IAAF that affect Little Athletics NSW:

• In the 4 x 100m, each takeover zone shall be 30m long.
• The time limit for each attempt at a field event has changed from 60 seconds to 30 seconds.

Thank you to all who contributed to our gold-coin charity donation on Saturday. We were able to raise $191.50 to donate to The Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME). 

AIME believes in an Australia where Indigenous children finish high school at the same rate as all Australian students.

AIME is an educational program that gives Indigenous high school students the skills, opportunities, belief and confidence to make this happen. By matching Indigenous high school students with university student mentors, AIME successfully supports the students to finish high school. AIME also connects students with post Year 12 opportunities, including further education and employment.

AIME’s goal is to work with 10,000 Indigenous kids per year by 2018 and see them finish school at the same rate as every Australian child.
