NRCLAC had a very successful 2020 Region 5 Championships at Narrabeen last weekend, following the postponement of the carnival from the week before due to flooding.
We were well represented by 123 athletes - a record for the club (an increase from 118 last year), competing in 328 events. We had some great results over the two days. Thank you for giving it your best and doing it with a smile. Our medal tally finished at 13 Gold, 11 Silver, and 7 Bronze:
Congratulations to our Junior Boys' Relay team (Oliver, Alexander, Benji, and Sammy) winning the silver. Thank you to Annika for coaching the relays. Thank you to the parents who did their helper duties. Thank you to the NRCLAC Officials who helped run the carnival. It couldn't happen without your contributions:
And most of all, thank you to NRCLAC Team Managers, Janet and Carwyn. There's so much work that goes into organising parent duties, checking uniforms, marshalling during the day, being the first to arrive and the last to leave. Thank you. Legends ; ) Good luck to the NRCLAC athletes who have qualified to the LANSW State Track and Field Championships in March at SOPAC. There are photos available from a commercial photographer HERE.
