Where competition is cancelled due to weather, updates will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages by approximately 7:15am on the day of competition. If no cancellation announcement has been made, families should assume competition is proceeding as scheduled.

WET WEATHER |
Little Athletics is an outdoor sport and weather conditions occasionally impact competition. In some circumstances, competition may proceed using a modified Wet Weather Program featuring a reduced number of events. This allows us to continue competition while prioritising the safety of athletes, officials and volunteers. If conditions are unsafe, competition may be cancelled

HOT WEATHER |
As a summer sport, we carefully monitor weather conditions throughout the season. NRCLAC follows the official Little Athletics NSW Extreme Weather Policy, which provides guidance on modifying, postponing or cancelling activities when conditions become unsafe. Young athletes are particularly susceptible to heat-related illness, and athlete wellbeing always comes first.
Depending on conditions, competition may be modified, delayed, shortened or cancelled. |

LIGHTNING & STORMS |
NRCLAC also follows the Little Athletics NSW guidance outlined in the NSW Extreme Weather Policy. Competition will be stopped immediately if lightning or severe storm activity presents a safety risk.
