CLUB COMPETITION &
WEEKLY PROGRAMS

Saturday competition is at the heart of NRCLAC. Each week, athletes compete in a range of track and field events with their age group, guided by their Age Manager and supported by our volunteers. Not every athlete competes in every event each week — events rotate through the six competition programs across the season.

 start times

We recommend athletes arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled start time.

Some optional events are conducted before the main competition start time.

parent supervision

For the safety and wellbeing of our athletes, parents, carers or a responsible adult must remain at Kingsdene Oval for the duration of competition for athletes in Tiny Tots to U12s.

NRCLAC is not a drop-off activity. Children in these age groups cannot be left unattended during competition, and a responsible adult must remain available in the event of illness, injury, emergency or an early finish to competition.

Parents and carers must not leave the grounds during competition to run errands, go shopping or return home. If another adult is supervising your child on your behalf, they must remain at the venue and be responsible for the athlete throughout the morning.

competition programs

NRCLAC operates on a six-program rotation throughout the season. Programs 1 to 6 are used in sequence and determine which events are contested each week.

If a competition day is cancelled due to weather, the scheduled program is not skipped — that same program runs the next time competition is held. For example, if Program 3 is cancelled, Program 3 is used the following competition week.
